Here as well, cold and wet in Eastern Ontario the past few weeks but suddenly leaves are opening up everywhere. Poplar, Larch (we call them Tamarack around here)as well as Pear, Apple, Cherry, Maples. The Oak and Locust are slower to leaf out. And, to make it interesting, the blackflies are abroad in the land….
The Obvious? 
All of a sudden, a bit mealie pudden came flying o’er the dyke. It caught wee mac a smack on his back, and knocked him aff his bike …
