We decided to let Apple Maps chose a beautiful meandering route through Sussex and Surrey rather than facing the nightmare of the M25on the way back from picking up some of Hannah’s stuff in Brighton and that gave us the unexpected pleasure of a coffee at Newlands Corner, a fave stop off.
Felicity, Fred (the dog) and I were about a mile south of you on the ridge at St Martha’s Hill this afternoon. It’s such a lovely part of Surrey.

We should have waved. St. Martha’s Hill is lovely. I took in both spots on a hike I did earlier in the year.

One of my fave spots. Love to visit the ancient yew trees there.

I’m doing it more and more. You can set maps to avoid motorways. Going to use it in France next month!
