Walking

“Above all, do not lose your desire to walk: every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness; I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it … but by sitting still, and the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill…. Thus if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right.” – Soren Kierkegaard

  1. It certainly help mental but also directly physically. Have had pain in my lower back for most of the last couple of years on the weekend I went on a long afternoon hike, up Crib-goch to the summit of Snowdon and backdown to Llanberis then home. My back this week is feeling better than I can remember.

    1. A cracking “walk” and yes, I’ve had back problems over the years and the range of movements that are involved in getting up a hill definitely loosen it up.
