Meta blogging

Blogging about blogging is a time honoured tradition and I feel no shame in indulging in it again as I return to a focus on blogging for my writing.

One of the things that can be frustrating about blogs, and which Facebook certainly made easier within its own confines, is tracking the conversations triggered by blog posts. Over the years systems like Disqus have attempted to solve this to varying degrees of success and one of my biggest frustrations with Squarespace was the clunky way it handled commenting.

But now that I am back on WordPress I have access to a lot of cool plugins that will make it possible for me to replicate some of the old trackback technology that we used in the old days.
